The formation of Magnum Events in January 2005 was the result of Managing Director, Elaine O’Connor’s passion for the industry, with the creation of Magnum Events International in 2013 utilizing the entrepreneurial mind of Leone Amon. Leone and Elaine’s passion for relationship building and desire to deliver results, which exceed strategic and operational goals, proves the duos solid understanding of what is required to deliver a successful project; from conception to completion, Magnum Events provides advice and management expertise to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Our full time team includes over 120 highly experienced and skilled event professionals. Our event planners, production experts, creative team and account managers are all passionate about what they do, and committed to delivering excellence for our clients.
South Africa: Leone Amon
Leone Amon is an intelligent, personable and highly efficient Operations Manager with an active commitment to continuous event operational improvements, quality standards and execution with a special interest leaning towards Event Control, Crowd Science and Health and Safety.
Prior to relocating to South Africa to open Magnum Events South Africa, Leone began her career in the Fashion Industry, establishing her own clothing line and as a testament to her creative flair, experience and professionalism, becoming a regular contributor on Ireland’s RTE Television and Radio. Leone produced high-profile fashion and press events, working on key launches for luxury commercial clients such as BMW and Diageo. In 2007, Leone moved into large live scale events and concerts in Europe.
Ten years experience in the International Events Industry and qualifications in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations with an International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH), Leone is ideal in communicating clients needs locally and internationally bridging the gap of cultural event diversity, client requirements and event needs. Leone’s international experience provides the confidence to be creative; essential for Event Concept Development. The wisdom to play the ‘devil’s advocate’; invaluable to Event Planning. The ability to see the ‘big picture’; crucial to Event Management. But most importantly, this international experience ensures that your event truly will be world-class.
Ireland: Elaine O’Connor CSEP
Elaine, brainchild of Magnum Events and The Warehouse, is ideally positioned to deal with all matters in relation to clients and events with over a decade of experience working with and on behalf of local authorities on some of Ireland’s highest profile events. Having worked on events such as Tall Ships 2012 Dublin with steering and working groups, all the relevant stakeholders and the project teams, we believe Elaine’s personality and “can-do” attitude enables her to get the job done every time to the satisfaction of all involved – with a smile on her face.
Elaine is currently finishing a MSc in Event Management through Leeds Metropolitan University, and combined with her existing accreditation and experience, is set to become one of Ireland’s most qualified Event Managers. Her academic and practical endeavors have enabled Elaine to gain a unique perspective on the management of events, with experience in nearly every role on an event, Elaine is in a unique position where she is able to advise clients on almost every aspect of an event, no matter the scale. If Elaine is involved you can be sure that your event will be in safe hands and that she will always put the interests of the event and our clients above all else.
